Just checking in to say hi to you all. It’s been too long since I’ve updated and after slapping my own wrist, here I am 🙂
I’m so pleased with all the feedback you’ve been giving me, both on Amazon and mainly on my Facebook page. It has been really great to get to know everybody and to chat with you.
My news is that Little Prisoners will be hitting the shelves from 7th June and I hope you’ll love it just as much as you did the previous books. Little Prisoners is very dear to me, one of the most difficult things I’ve ever had to write. When you read it I’m sure you’ll understand. I was actually serious when I suggested to my editor that perhaps we should supply a free packet of tissues with each copy 🙂 It might be just me being a softie, but I still cry, even now when I think about those kids.
In other news, Too hurt to stay is now all ready for publication so it won’t be too long before you can get your hands on that, and I’ve just finished writing Mummy’s little helper, which is about a child carer. A very different type of story, but a very important one all the same.
Before I go, just another quick mention about my Facebook page. Quite a few people have been sending me private messages to discuss problems they are having with their child, and even to talk about their own experiences of being in care and how it affects them as adults.
This is absolutely fine, and I’m happy to talk about anything at all. If you prefer to get in touch another way, then you can always e-mail me direct, using the e-mail address on this web site. I answer all e-mails and look forward to receiving them.
If you want to share your care experience or to talk about fostering, then please, do contact me.
Love, as always, Casey xx
